KBS Civil & Plant Hire is an Australian-owned detailed civil earthworks company, established by Keiran Saunders in 2005 in WA’s northwest Pilbara region. In 2016, Keiran and his wife and business partner, Claire and their three children, relocated to the City of Busselton in the states southwest. Since then, Keiran has continued to build on his reputation as one of WA’s most skilled and trusted detailed earthworks operators.
KBS Civil is able to work directly with civil and commercial project owners and developers or as a reliable subcontractor alongside leading civil bulk earthworks contractors where an independent and specialist Detailed Earthworks operator is needed. We also offer smaller earthworks to support commercial and residential developments, including driveway constructions/re-shaping, landscape construction, retaining walls, pool installations, and land clearing.
Our work is backed by many years of Civil Earthworks experience gained on Major Projects within the Construction, Mining & Resources, Energy, Infrastructure, Utilities, Government, Commercial, and Residential sectors. We offer Wet and Dry Hire with modern earthmoving equipment (all to site/mine spec) to support safe and effective job completion and can arrange mobilisation/demobilisation to and from site.

KBS Civil & Plant Hire owner and operator, Keiran’s experience delivering critical excavation and detailed civil earthworks services on complex, large-scale Construction Projects for almost 20 years, has given him the knowledge and skills to work safely and efficiently on the most challenging and often hard to access construction sites.
Renowned for the level of finesse he brings to detailed earthworks, it is Keiran’s ability to excavate within exact margins of design specifications that has seen him contracted to perform numerous high-risk site works on some of WA’s largest and most sensitive project sites, including excavating over and around Woodside’s (live) Karratha Gas Plant.
With a zero-harm approach to assets, community, and environment, KBS Civil & Plant Hire is fully insured and licensed to perform High Risk Work, certified in Safe Clearing Practices, and holds a Restricted Asbestos Removal License. We are fully licenced to remove asbestos and dispose of contaminated material to meet all safety and environmental regulations.
